Sometimes it is sarcastic comments, other times it is blatant mocking; we all have known people who scoff at the name of God and the Word of God. The scoffers of Peter's day rejected the coming of Christ because in their 'preferred memories' they had forgotten when God moved supernaturally in the past. Pastor Adam continues today in 2 Peter 3.
