Eric & Melissa Lundquist
Our Story
We have lived and served together in Austria since September 2005. While learning German and Austrian culture, we began serving in local churches. We have two teen boys, Silas & Isaiah.
As a family, we were involved in a church plant, Lakeside, in a growing area of Vienna for five years, and finished our work there in 2019.
Eric has been on the leadership team of a local church since 2021, after the church went through a leadership crisis. We find it important to help local churches to thrive, not to just survive, or fall apart. This church has been, and will continue to be, a mother church to several other church plants in Vienna.
Since its' beginning, we've also been a part of a new church plant, Crosslight Evangelical Church of Leopoldau, focused on reaching North Vienna. It started with a couple of Bible studies and several outreach events, and in Fall 2021, bi-weekly church services on Sunday evenings started. In Spring 2022, weekly church services were begun.
The last two years, we have regularly been serving in both of these local churches. You can find our family actively involved on a Sunday - Eric: preaching or leading music; Melissa: teaching Sunday School; the boys: running the technical board; as well as involved in conversations.
For TEAM Austria, Eric is on the leadership team and Melissa coordinates Member Care & our Summer Ministry Internship for college students. We are both readily available to disciple, mentor, and answer questions from younger men (Eric) and women (Melissa) about various topics.
We, Eric and Melissa, are thankful for the opportunities we've had to share about God's work in Vienna with you. God is at work in big and small ways, in ways we can and can't see. We're thankful for the ways that you partner with us, whether it be through prayer, finances, or sending us a note of encouragement.
