The Dows - Spanish Ministry - Florida

Ev and Jan Dow left Berkley in 1978 to serve in the Jungles of Ecuador with Avant Ministries. They have served in Ecuador, Colombia and most recently in Mexico.  The Dows are transitioning to a new ministry after celebrating the transition to national leadership of the church in Guadalajara.  Please pray for the Dows as they are working with Igelisa Hispana Cristiana in Bradenton, Florida.   They are responsible for the youth ministries, bible studies and adult fellowship.

Nancy.jpgNancy Hagberg - Bible Translation - Mexico

Nancy is based in Tuscon, AZ and works with the Mayo in Northeastern Mexico with Wycliffe.  She is continuing the work of translating the Bible into the Mayo language.  The Mayo are excited to read the first drafts of the New Testament and it has been an exciting but challenging as progress sometime is slow.  The hope is that by the end of 2013 they will be able to typeset the New Testament.  The goal is to have the entire Bible translated and to the presses by August 2014.

The Bishops

Dale & Vicky Bishop grew up at BCC and is now the Executive Director of Detroit Youth For Christ.  The Bishops started working with YFC in 1972, and since 1978 has been serving as a Chaplain in the Southfield Police Department.  The Bishops also work with their sons Josh and Peter in running the ministries of YFC.  YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other likeminded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Love_Serves_Logo_black.pngLove Serves International

LoveServes International exists to bring about sustainable spiritual and community transformation by coaching national pastors to develop healthy churches that equips the Church members to meet the communities' greatest needs through the love of Christ. Church members are transformed by the Holy Spirit to become Christ’s hands and feet to their own community. The Church stops focusing on “attracting” people into the four walls of their building and gets out into its community and meets its greatest needs. Read more

dodds.jpgMatt & Cameron Dodd - Papua New Guinea

The Dodd family (Matt & Cameron with their children Susanna (8), Benaiah (7), Onesimus (4), and Mary (2)) is on mission with the Mawarero, a remote tribe in Papua New Guinea.  BCC started supporting this family on faith in March 2016, knowing God would provide the funds. The family is originally from Arizona and Matt worked at GM with our very own Chris Dow. They are currently living full time since February 2016 with the tribe learning the language, finishing their house and getting acclimated.  They are in tribe with another family from their sending church in Arizona.  If you want to keep up with their adventures (and they are truly adventurous!), please read their blog:

Lundquist_photo.PNGEric & Melissa Lundquist - Austria

What does Art Nuevo, classical music, the Alps, Arnold Schwarzenegger, seat of the Habsburg empire, ground zero for WWI, the birthplace of the sewing machine and the oldest zoo in the world all have in common?  They are all a part of the rich tapestry that is Austria.  Austria has a mere one-tenth of 1 percent of the population, or about 3,500 people claiming to be born again believers and is currently counted as part of the lost generations of Europe.  The majority of Austria's 3,346 towns and villages have no one that preaches the Word.  The Lundquist family (Eric, Melissa, Isaiah, and Silas) are serving in Vienna, Austria in a new church plant, “Lakeside.”   The church is located in a new development of Vienna’s 22nd district.  This area has the largest population growth in all Vienna.  Recently, missionaries have noticed a spiritual inquisitiveness, giving them opportunities to witness one on one (the most effective method for Austrians).
